The musical Lion King shares the life of the young Lion Prince Simba, who before his time is forced to come to terms with his role of leading as the King of the Pride Lands due to unjust killing of his father, Mufasa. Mufasa, who is a beloved leader by the people of the territory he rules, gets stabbed in the back by from Scar, Simba’s uncle, which leads to his death. This forces Simba into into exile for a long period of time, and jumpstarts the Prince's personal change and his eventual homecoming to his land and his rightful place as King.
Based off the previous 1994 motion picture of the the very same title produced by Disney, The Lion King was accurately translated to the Broadway platform by director Julie Taymor and the unsurpassed cast and production crew.
