Story

The show begins in Cob County, where an engaged couple named Maizy and Beau are planning their wedding. However, the celebration takes an unexpected break when the towns corn suddenly starts to die. The still unmarried couple agree to pause things and join the town in worrying about its crops.

Maizy decides to find answers in Florida. After she gets off the plane in Tampa, she meets Gordy, who is pretending to be a corn doctor. Gordy promises to help her save her towns farm, even though he's really after her expensive bracelet to satisfy his mob debts - and drama ensues.
