The Lion King, since its first production and transfer to the theater stage in 1997, has changed the landscape of Broadway and theater entirely. With a classic narrative translated creatively to the live stage with the unique introduction of life-sized puppetry of animals and an African-inspired music list and choreography, The Lion King was considered an incredible shock to both fans of the previous movie as well as even new audiences.
